David Cade
David Allan Cade, son of the late Dudley Cade and Francis Cederberg and brother to the late Gerald Cade was born on June 28th 1953 in Junction City, Kansas. Growing up in Chapman, Kansas, he attended the Chapman Unified School District for grade school then graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Chemistry from Bethany College which was followed by a M.A. in Mathematics from Emporia State University. David devoted himself to Christ at Scherer Memorial Lutheran Church and embarked upon a life of public servitude as an Eagle Scout who won a 4-H National Project award, Washington, DC. Following college, David was a Master Engineer for several aircraft manufacturers where he coded, designed, and maintained their programing languages.

In March of 1997 at Danforth Chapel in Manhattan, Kansas, David united in holy matrimony with Martha Batiste. Through this union, David was blessed by marriage with three daughters whom he loved dearly.

David was an avid life-long educator in Mathematics, teaching for all grade levels spanning from primary school to several post-secondary institutions throughout Central Oklahoma and Houston, Texas. During his teaching career, David was recognized for his excellent commitment to his students with several awards and commendations. Together he and his wife Martha, also a passionate educator, started the C.A.D.E. education center where they worked to provide adults with necessary career skills to enter the workforce. In his free time David enjoyed vintage car shows and antiques, just as his mother and grandmother. Following a long-hard fought battle with cancer, David passed to be with his parents and grandparents Emil Cederberg and Anna Flohr-Cederberg on Wednesday June 7th 2023 at his family home in Magnolia, Texas.

His life will be honored and remembered through his wife: Martha V Cade; his daughters: Joaella DeTiege Lane and Anthony Lane of Fort Washington, MD, Tracy Kumin and Bradley Kumin of Woodlands, TX, and Celeste DeTiege of Scottsdale, AZ; his six grandchildren: Jorden Lane, Briana Lane, Alec (Zuriel) Lane, Tyler Kumin, Sydney Kumin, and Kylie Kumin; his cousin Linda along with many other cousins of Riley, KS; his four sister-in laws: Merline, Mary, Muriel, and Mercedes; along with many of his Texan friends.
